Great Start Collaborative

The Wexford-Missaukee Great Start Collaborative is a partnership of community leaders, business owners, charitable and faith-based organizations, health and human service agencies, educators, and parents.  It is committed to establishing and maintaining a comprehensive early childhood system.

The collaborative:

• Addresses the factors that influence a child's readiness for school and life
• Advocates for quality early childhood programs and services
• Engages community partners in the planning and coordination of services
• Promotes community awareness of early childhood issues

 

Because our community values families, the Wexford Missaukee Area Great Start Collaborative strives to assure a coordinated system of resources and supports to assist every family in providing a great start for their children from birth through kindergarten.

The Wexford-Missaukee Area Great Start Collaborative was formed in October 2008 with the vision that “All families are able to help children reach their full potential”.
