Welcome to the Electrical Occupations program at the WMCTC:
The Electrical Occupations program offers students experience in a variety of electrical and electronic careers. Students in this program will learn how to design, trouble-shoot, and repair electrical and electronic circuits and systems.
First year students learn basic AC and DC circuit principles, solid state electronics and electronics technician skills. Students will take an introductory course in computer repair and maintenance. Students will also have the opportunity to explore the many disciplines in the electricity and electronics industry including robotics and automation, residential and commercial wiring, home integration, industrial controls, programmable logic controllers, alternative energy, microprocessors, and electronics repair to name a few. Second year students will gain experience in digital electronics and have the opportunity to concentrate within a field that they are interested.
