Welcome to the Allied Health Technology program at the WMCTC:

The Allied Health program provides training in body structure and function, first-aid - including CPR with AED, medical ethics, medical terminology, medical math, patient care, nutrition and feeding skills, to name a few areas covered.  Students are able to leave the program with the necessary skills to find entry-level employment in nursing homes, hospitals, and doctor's /dentist's offices.

The Allied Health Technology Field:

The Allied Health field includes some of the most rapidly advancing careers in modern science.  Recent changes in technology, the increasing use of sophisticated equipment, and the expansion of the field throughout the nation have created a sharp demand for individuals certified in these many allied health fields.

Student Organization / Community Enrichment:

HOSA is a national student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Technology Education Division of ACTE.  HOSA's two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people.  HOSA participants compete in a variety of areas in regional, state, and national competitions.  The WM-CTC Allied Health Technology program has sent student competitors to the national competitition on a regular basis.
